Digital Freight Matching

Software that automatically pairs available loads with available capacity, reducing reliance on manual load-board searching and phone-based booking.

How it works — and why it matters

A digital freight matching platform scores available loads against available trucks using lane history, equipment type, current location, remaining hours of service, and rate expectations, then surfaces or auto-books the best pairing. What once took a dispatcher hours of load-board searching and phone calls happens in seconds.

Matching quality depends entirely on data freshness: knowing where trucks actually are and when they free up requires live telematics and TMS integration. Done well, digital matching reduces empty miles, shortens booking cycles, and lets brokers cover freight with far fewer touches per load — which is why load boards, brokers, and carriers alike have invested heavily in it.
